What to Make of TabTrade - A New CFD Broker in 2026
The Broker - What It Is
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
That last detail matters. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For something this new, that coverage is broad.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Many people prefer it after using both.
FIX API is there for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it lands.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not relevant to typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The speed is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Should you care? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals what kind of broker this is.
Pair that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Here is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. But be part of your decision.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
Welcome Offer
Tab Trade offers a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before you deposit.
